I am wondering if a vacuum sealer like the Food Saver or the Rival Seal-a-Meal can be used to seal regular plastic bags. I don’t necessarily need the air to be vacuumed out but I want to be able to reseal stuff like pepperoni or hotdogs or stuff from the freezer like chicken fingers etc [...]

I mean can the bags of other vacuum sealer brands be used with Rival sealers?

No the vacuum sealer is better and the bags are heavier.

You don’t really need to go to that length. Keep it in an airtight container and stick it in the freezer. You’ll use it all up before it goes bad.

i thought of that when we freeze our chickens & are skinned so why not use a cheaper bag or do you have to use those poly bags?
