we butcher our own chickens but we eat them up pretty fast and need a good way with out a vaccum sealer. would wrapping waxpaper around the chicken then around the waxpaper wrap it in butchers paper keep it from freezer burning? or wrapping it in wax paper and putting it into freezer guard ziploc [...]

I am wondering if a vacuum sealer like the Food Saver or the Rival Seal-a-Meal can be used to seal regular plastic bags. I don’t necessarily need the air to be vacuumed out but I want to be able to reseal stuff like pepperoni or hotdogs or stuff from the freezer like chicken fingers etc [...]

i thought of that when we freeze our chickens & are skinned so why not use a cheaper bag or do you have to use those poly bags?
